Long before the Occupy movement
started, Jamie Johnson, one of the heirs of the grand JohnsonJohnson fortune,
made a documentary on the 1%, titled The One Percent. Shows the contrast between the
expectations of the rich and poor. While the rich have felt more need for
money, the poor try to survive day to day. One of the most important
interventions was that of Forbes, who said we all have skills we must discover
and exploit them and once we do this, we must help others with our ability.
Service to others not as charity but to help them grow as people make you feel
better than more money.
I think entrepreneurs or ministers of economy of our country should be more concerned with personal development of people. The rich get richer they want to do without seeing the needs of others. They plan to accumulate great wealth but will happen when not in this world? But they have great heirs will not take a dime. Should think of projects to provide more opportunities for the poor as microcredit, among others.
